eh this compilation i checked out on amazon .co.uk is a 4 cd compilation with a different tracklisting to the one above whilst there is a double cd compilation of the same name above but with a blander different artwork.
Golden Earring on a Prog CD? Lloyd Webber too? What’s that all about then?
Wot a random jumble of stuff. Kayleigh?Silver Machine?Jail Bait? Cripes. Next time they should employ someone who has a clue.
Great tracks!
This is music for well developed minds, not for primitive neanderthalian trolls.
I dare say this is “human” music…..
this listing is why I stopped listening to daytime Planet Rock… same songs by Artists that have a wide a varied catalogue to choose from….
I’d say it’s a very good introduction to classic prog for people that are not too familiar with the genre, or just casual listeners.
I’ll buy it, I think.
Kayleigh? Well, that seems about the level of this compilation – CDs of stuff either from bands I wouldn’t consider Prog or tracks that are certainly not good examples of a diverse musical genre…
I’d have to agree with Mike in that it appears to be a random jumble cobbled together by someone whose delusion leads them to believe that Andrew Lloyd-Webber is actually a musician…
Andrew Lloyd Webber?! Have you gone mad, Mr Ewing? You should have put ‘Spiral Architect’ by Sabbath on there instead.
Some good stuff there. And some not so good. Funny that the best material there is what is not prog rock. (Mountain, Iron Butterfly, Uriah Heep etc.)
Andrew Lloyd Webber? There must be some mistake. How on earth can he be classed as prog???The world’s gone mad
