In the July issue of Classic Rock, on sale today…
Metallica
In this month’s cover story James Hetfield talks frankly about his childhood, alcoholism and recovery, and how his extreme religious upbringing helped define the course of Metallica, through bust-ups, tragedy, alcoholism, drug abuse and breakdowns.

ZZ Top
In his own words, top Top Billy Gibbons takes an album-by-album look at the long career of the Texan trio. Have mercy!

Summer Of Rock
Grab the Factor 20, six-pack, shorts and shades. Summer’s on the way, and so are some cracking gigs. We talk to some of the performers coming to a (hopefully) sun-soaked town near you: UFO, Bruce Springsteen, Alice In Chains, Dream Theater, Buckcherry, Lucinda Williams, Dan Baird, , Melanie…

This month’s CD

Sons Of Guns IV
16 tracks of GN’R-inspired tracks to abuse your illusions, from Acid Angels, Midnight Cowboys, Diemonds, Dirty Pearls, Angus Khan, Buffalo Chrome and more…

Also in the July (on sale May 27) issue of Classic Rock…

Iron Maiden
They’ve just played 23 gigs, on five continents, travelling 50,000 miles, in just 46 days. What makes this beast of a band tick? Classic Rock boards Ed Force One to find out.

New York Dolls
The brats are back, with their fourth album in… 35 years! Classic Rock talks to the enduring veterans about their, er, unhurried work rate – and the difficulty of staying alive.

Faith No More
It’s 1992 and rock’s new bad boys have upset Axl and committed “commercial suicide”. Simon Witter watched as FNM torched the rock rule book…

Jeff Beck
“Keith Moon gave me a Rolls-Royce and a blonde. It was a very enjoyable weekend.” War stories from the guitar maestro.

Plus the biggest rock reviews section on the planet, with new albums from Chickenfoot, Ministry, Green Day, Manic Street Preachers… reissues from from Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Jane’s Addiction, Exploited… Plus new DVDs.

All this and much, much more in the latest issue (July, No.133) of Classic Rock, on sale Wednesday May 27.

And if you take out a subscription to Classic Rock from this issue, you get three classic Saxon CDs, AND save money into the bargain.

Do you have a list of covers? Who was on the June issue cover?
