Neil Young To Headline Saturday Of Hard Rock Calling Festival

Hard Rock Calling organisers confirmed today that the headliner for Saturday 27th June in Hyde Park, London will be Neil Young. Click here to find out who else is sharing the stage.

Joining him as special guests at the festival are Fleet Foxes, Ben Harper & Relentless7, Seasick Steve and The Pretenders with more artists to be announced soon.

“We’re thrilled with the addition of Neil Young to the Hard Rock Calling line-up and are excited that Sunday’s headlining concert, featuring Bruce Springsteen, sold out immediately,” said Sean Dee, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Hard Rock International. “As one of the UK’s most anticipated summer concert events and the kickoff of Hard Rock’s 2009 Ambassadors of Rock Tour, we expect this event to make rock ‘n’ roll history.”

Neil Young will take to the stage with his full band – Ben Keith, Rick Rosas, Chad Cromwell, Pegi Young and Anthony Crawford.

Tickets for Neil Young on the Saturday will be onsale from 9am Friday 13 March 2009.
Ticket Price – £45 + booking fee.

what a disappointment – after all those rumours of ac dc – and we get n young – a guy who has lost the plot, not done a dceent album in last 10 years and who my mate saw playing a 1 hour 10 min gig a year or two back – as for the remainder of the bill – pretenders!?!?! hard rock

Brilliant, AC/DC friday at Wembley get up from the hotel and see Angus and Malcolms older brother Neil Young at the Park. Shame I can’t hang around for Bruce, I don’t think the wife will let me get away with that.
