Muse Win Album Artwork Award

Muse have picked up an award for last year’s album The Resistance.

The cover to The Resistance has won the best album artwork prize, awarded by the Art Vinyl Gallery in London.

Runners-up were the Manic Street Preachers for Journal For Plague Lovers.

The Flaming Lips were ranked at No. 25 (Embryonic) with The Mars Volta at No. 29 (Octahedron).

The Top 50 album covers of 2009 are currently being featured in exhibitions at The Art Vinyl Gallery, Basement Level, Selfridges London; Rough Trade East, London; Snap Galleries in Birmingham; Georges House Gallery in Folkestone.

Total BS. Muse’s last album was a massive disappointment, as was the cover. Look at some of the crap on that list. No Line on the Horizon shouldn’t even be on there, let alone XX. Where’s Last Look at Eden, Backspacer, Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da and Them Crooked Vultures? All more deserving artwork than a lot of the pretentious garbage on that list.
