Motörhead: New Album, Book, Film

mdome / News / 04/11/2009 13:09pm

Motörhead are going to start work on their new album in February.

That’s when the trio of Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee plan to begin the job of writing, rehearsing and then recording the follow-up to Motorizer.

But that’s not all on the Motör front. The book Motörhead: In The Studio has just been published. It’s an official, detailed guide to… well, Motörhead in the studio. A look back at how some of the band’s iconic records were made. There are interviews with band members, producers and record company types.

Finally, Lemmy, the documentary/movie about the Motörhead legend, is due to be premiered at the South By South West Festival in Austin, Texas early next year. This includes interviews with the likes of Ozzy, Alice Cooper, Dave Brock, Dave Grohl, Slash, Dee Snider… and, the one we’re most intrigued about, Hawkwind’s ‘nude cosmic hippy dancer’, Stacia.

How INCREDIBLY dull can this magazine get. Do you really think your readers are stuck in the f…..g eighties. How many times do we have to read the same old ‘has been’ bands, for God sake WAKE UP, lets hear about some new classic AOR rock bands. Journey, Dare, Winger, Wet, Giant……plenty of great new talent out there

….Please please please no more ……Lemmy, Beatles, Iron maiden, Hendrix, great bands in their day….but come on, it’s 2009.

Awesome! Motorhead’s last 4 albums have been some of my favourites and I’m really looking forward to see what else they’ve got to give on the next album. I’m sure the book will be an interesting and the Lemmy film will be a great insight into the life on the road of the great man and will probably be a good laugh-and-a-half too. I’m definitely buying all three when they’re released!

Tickets are always more expensive in ireland. someone needs to sort it out

¡Keep rockin’ Lemmy! And to Paul West; man, the magazine’s title is “CLASSIC Rock”; that should answers your complains.
