Motorhead announce new tour dates
Motorhead have confirmed European tour dates to replace those that were postponed after frontman Lemmy realised he was too ill to hit the road. See the full list below.
The veteran performer admits he’s started using an exercise bike after a series of health issues saw him having a heart defibrillator fitted, spending three weeks in hospital and calling off a series of shows.
A statement explains: “All is well! Motorhead is pleased to announce the re-scheduled tour dates for their upcoming UK/European tour. In a quick turnaround, all dates have been re-scheduled and confirmed. Ticket holders should hold on to their tickets as they will be honoured at these re-scheduled dates.”
The band’s latest album, Aftershock, was released as part of a Classic Rock Fanpack in the UK. It’s given the band some of their highest chart placings in years.
Meanwhile, the band have tied in with Rock Science to release a Motorhead edition of the trivia board game. It includes 1600 questions about the band’s history, covering, say creators, “the drinks, the girls, the songs, the lyrics, the fights, the fuck-ups and the wins, plus much, much more.”
Lemmy jokes: “I’ve had a fun life for sure. Playing this will help me remember it!” Find out more.
