More Names For Sonisphere Festival

Skunk Anansie, Apocalyptica and Fightstar lead the latest batch of bands confirmed for the Sonisphere Festival.
Also announced are Funeral For A Friend, Madina Lake, Gallows and Family Force Five. Headlined by Iron Maiden and Rammstein, the event happens at Knebworth Park from July 30-August 1.

Whilst Skunk, Apocalyptica, Gallows and FFAF float my boat, I’m afraid Madina Lake, FightBusted and FF5 (WTF??) somewhat torpedo it below the waterline…

Damn – and it was going so well.
Skunk played one of the best ever sets last year at Wolverhampton stunning. The rest of the bands hopefully will be put on a stage near the back…..or on the A1

I see that the ‘Special Guest’ slot below Maiden is still to be filled. Anyone any ideas? Heaven and Hell would be jolly good. Soundgarden maybe?
Goes to show when there’s 4 Rock/Metal festivals in the UK the standard soon drops drop the multiple acts and let’s have bands playing decent sets beyond half an hour.
Don’t just diss the gallows you’d be Surprised how brilliant they actually are
what a let down. lets hope next Mondays announcement makes up for it. Heaven and Hell for the ’special guests’ slot would be killer
Gallows are an excellent & worthy addition i’d say. They’re a good live band.
Skunk Anansie are a great band. I can pretty much take or leave the Emo stuff.
