The man charged with leaking ‘Chinese Democracy’ tracks has gotten away with something of a light tap on the wrist.
Kevin Cogill, the man who first leaked ‘Chinese Democracy’ tracks onto the internet, has been sentenced to two months of home confinement and must allow his computers to be searched by the government. This comes on top of being sentenced to a year of probation by a Los Angeles court.
During sentencing, Coghill said: “I never intended to hurt the artist, I intended to promote the artist because I’m a fan.”
Is this a fair sentencing and is it fair to say that Axl’s going to tear his dreads out when he hears this news?

How is this in any way a deterrent for the many “toe rags” out there that do this kind of thing every day.
i’m just glad i got to here them before hand! because if i’d have gone out and paid for that pile of shite he calls an album i would have been very angry as it was the worst record ever, a kick in the teeth to the guns legacy if you ask me!!
man this sucks he should get no punishment what so ever, he did you a favor you big headed idiot
your wrong it`s a great album and no one has the right to spoil an artists right to release anything until there ready to
dont see prop what he did,as if like the music then go out buy it.and artist dont lose out.
A total cock of a sentence. Hey lets everybody leak everything from now on cos nuthin will happen to us! But then again maybe Axl deserved it. Maybe he won’t make us wait 50 freakin’ years to release his next pile of shite!
