The title suggests this might be Maiden’s swan song. Steve Harris has said 15 albums would be their expected limit. Great artwork, can’t wait!

wot a way to not quash the rumours of calling it a day – the final frontier? first question they will be asked in forthcoming interviews, is this the end of the road? i can’t wait for the new album and i hope they keep going, but guys you need to pick up the pace. in the noughties 3 albums (although 3 of the best) is just taking the piss. even in the nineties we got 4 albums! so up the irons and keep on rocking!!!!!!!!

Only 1 date over here and a festival at that. Yet a full North American tour. I know they will probably tour later but a few more dates over here would be nice. Only had Twickenham last time!!!!

If it is the last album, you can probably take some comfort in the likelihood some of the members would then continue other projects. I highly doubt Nicko would retire until medically forced to.

Great news….but Dream Theater??? They suck. There are so many other bands that are way more exciting. Bands that play from thier heart and not thier Berkley Music taught scale charts.

If this is their swan song then I want it to be that loud and godamn heavy that it makes my ears bleed!! UP THE IRONS!!

i am seeing maiden at sonisphere i cannot beleive they may be splitting up after this album! I feel they have returned to a peak after many years of so so albums! may they continue recording and touring at least until they are 60 like preist.a fan for 30 years and many years holpefully to come!

Very cool. I live in Winnipeg, MB, Canada and the final 30 minute countdown to the Fanclub pre-sale is on! Can’t wait to see them again and was really shocked when the date was announced. I hadn’t put much stock into the rumours of them touring North America. I thought maybe after the new album was released……

So does this mean there going to play the whole new shitty album live again? After attending the AMOLAD tour in 2006, like many i swore id never see them live again. They didnt announce what the set list would be when the tickets went on sale, otherwise i wouldnt have gone. They couldnt even be bothered to play their signature songs ‘Run To The Hills’ or ‘Number of the Beast’ that night, i have never heard such a dead crowd. Sure, they made up for it with the greatest hits world tour in 2008, but why only ONE UK date??!! I couldnt afford to get down to Twikenham at the time, not every Maiden fan is made of money. Now i will likely never get to hear Rhyme or the real 80’s classics live. Too bad. F**k you Maiden, arrogant tossers!
