Waitaminute! I thought they needed two original members in the band to keep on touring! How do they get around that one now? I’m not going to pay money to see this tribute band.

What a travesty.

As Adrian posted, there is legal agreement struck with the plane crash widows that there has to be two pre-crash members in the band for them to be able to use the Skynyrd name – but are they now counting Rickey Medlocke as one of those seeing as he drummed for them for about two weeks back in the day?!

They should disband and Rickey Medlocke should get himself back to Blackfoot.

Rickey Medlocke was an original member but left to form Blackfoot before Skynyrd released any albums so technically there are two original members.

I’m sure the Van Zant and Collins estates just get few percentages more now…

some of the band members have been there for 10-15 years now and with (technically) original member ricky medlocke and van zants bro in the band i still feel the line up has credibility.

Great news. Looking forward to the Glasgow show.
