Last Man To See Bon Scott Alive Is Missing Presumed Dead
The last man to see Bon Scott alive has disappeared – and is presumed to be dead.
Alistair Kinnear (pictured) is the man who found the iconic AC/DC singer unconscious in his car on the evening of February 19, where he’d been left the previous night to sleep off a heavy drinking session.
It now appears that Kinnear has been missing since July 2006. Apparently, he set sail in a yacht with two men, aiming to go from Marseilles to Spain. He never arrived. Officially, he cannot be declared dead until he’s been missing for seven years, but there seems to be little hope that Kinnear will be found alive.
For many years, Alistair Kinnear was seen as a shadowy figure in the events leading up to Scott’s death. But Classic Rock tracked him down in 2005, where he described in detail what happened. He’s been living at the time in the Costa del Sol for about 22 years.
“I’m not hiding from anyone,” he said at the time.
