Now there’s a headline that you don’t read every day, eh?

Former Kiss guitarist Ace frehley is to become the first artist to perform, record and broadcast a live performance from outer space and better yet, VH1 are going to document the whole thing.

The ‘Ace to Space’ project has been in research and development for ten months already and will begin stepping up its efforts to get Ace to widdle in the stars in the near future. Keep checking Classic Rock for further developments.

In assosciated Kiss news, the band themselves plan on recording an album in 2009 with Paul Stanley producing and Ace Frehley will release his new solo record ‘Anomaly’ in the Spring.

How about Ace recording the new album with Gene and Paul, and blasting Tommy Thyler into space on a one way ticket?

Best solution me thinks!

Yeah, right. The physical requirements for space travel are now replaced by glitter make-up and platform shoes. The budget? $50 in shrooms and peyote.

Get all 4 to do it, and make it a one way ticket only.

[...] @ And Ace is to truly become ‘Space Ace‘! [...]

I have only a few words ACE in Space man.
Hes the best of the bunch. Always was, will be Forever. Ace Frehley on Lead Guitar. oh yeah!

Who is Tommy Thyler ??? Will Ace be taking his booze and dope with him so he can piss this up too or will we have to send Tommy to do that too !!!

for fuck sake!!

KISSFANATIC

His name is Tommy Thayer, not Thyler. Granted he is not THE Ace, but since the real one can’t keep his shit together, he’ll do.

I would rather see KISS dump the makeup with Ace and Pete out. But where is the money in that?

Ace is a gifted musician, he forgot to appreciate it along the way. Out on the road last year, I hope he remembered what he has been given and will continue down that road. He played the best I have ever seen him play.

I am in great snticipation of all of these projects, new album(s), new tour(s), and Ace in Space. I heard ZZTop is doing the same thing though…

Yeah right. Gene will make it before Ace.

He’ll have to keep his ’shit together’ to go in space for sure.
Surely he’s too old and too unfit to do that?
Just come back to Sheffield Ace.. and release a killer album first.. that’ll do. Balls to the nay sayers..

Give Ace a break, hell the man has been clean
for almost a year now. As the original KISS production
manager, 1973-1976 Ace is getting better and better as a guitar player and his live shows are off the hook.
As for his management team and his very seasoned road crew are all clean. No booze or drugs of any kind is a no-no. If caught, you are fired!

The best is yet to come for Ace…hell, we can’t believe
that we are all pushing 60 now! WOW!!

ROCK ON,
Mick Campise
member of the “Original KISS Road Crew, 1973-1976″

Cool.. I’ll give old SpaceAce every break he needs brother.. I can’t tell you how stoked we were when he turned up at The Corporation sh*thole last year, what a complete blast.
I’m genuinely revved up for his new album.. can’t wait. I hope he tours again too.
As for space.. come on.. surely he’s too old right? surely? If its true then flippin WOW
