It hurts my eyes to read this tripe and my head to comprehend that there are people in the world even breathing the words KISS & Gene Simmons in the same sentence let alone the same league as legendary bands such as the Rolling Stones & U2. You uncultured pork scratchings! KISS are and have always been irrelevant. They are a wisecrack in the music industry, a comedy gig, good for a few laughs...but we're laughing at them not with them! it really is scary to find out to me that there are people out there buying into it, newsflash WWF...it's not real either. They're harmless and as much of a threat to u2 & The Stones as a speck of dust on Bono's shades. I haven't been this nervous about the state of things since Bush was in the Whitehouse.

R U people nuts, KISS is just AWESOME. U2 and the Rolling Stones are no competition for the Kings of Rock. ACDC puts on a show but vocal wise, c'mon ACDC isn't sounding so great. Pink Floyd, u might have something but the show goes with the music. KISs has earned the right to to do what they want where they want and how they want because they r the GREATEST ROCK BAND IN THE UNIVERSE.

I remember Joe Elliot saying that if you're in a band, it's ok to think you're the best band in the world, because it shows you're passionate about your art and so into it that you make it as good as it can be within the confines and limits of your own creativity. I felt it a very good point and have changed my take on bands with ego ever since.

I think people are missing out on this fact.

On the other hand, the Stones don't really throw their weight around, in terms of ego. I don't think they ever claim to be anyone special. Who does? Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne (when he talks about his Black Sabbath days), plenty of bands. Kiss were just naming the biggest two.

Kiss have set-lists, but do vary them a bit FYI. Just find the list of all songs they played in the first two make-up comeback tours, definitely some experimentation with the set-lists. They also played quite a different set-list in '03 but it wasn't that popular. Strangely, on that tour, and Paul Stanley's solo one, tons of material from the album no one likes (even Bruce Kulick), Hot In The Shade got snuck in. Always found that odd.

Higgo's spot on. Bruce Springsteen is the best live act of them all. In 2010 and at 60 years of age Springsteen is the best I've ever seen. No real stage show, no pyro's, just pure showmanship & music for over 3 hours at a time. Unbelievable.

The Stones, AC/DC & Kiss come in respective 2nd, 3rd & 4th places for me.

I'd listen to the interview in full guys before you make a decision. It's typical lazy journalism by CR, misquoting part of an interview. Gene is quite gracious to a lot of bands in the interview, especially English bands (which it's quite obvious he loves)

I love Kiss and they put of a great show, but all of these guys (ACDC included) that play the same show night after night bore me after a while. FFS, even a pub band mix up their setlist.

So step aside guys for Bruce and the E Street Band...the only band I know that will take requests from an arena sized audience.

The true champions when it comes to live rock and roll.
