King’s X are to release their first ever DVD in October.
Called Live Love In London, it will be put out by Inside Out Music on October 26. There will be a standard DVD version, and a deluxe one with two CDs as a bonus. This was filmed and recorded at the Electric Ballroom in 2009.
Says bassist/vocalist Doug Pinnick of the band’s affinity for London: “We were touring the U.S., playing for very small crowds, then we went to London; it was the Marquee and it was sold out!”

YOU FARGIN’ BEAUTY!!!!! And not before bloody time, all I’ve had to content myself with over the years have been the crappy old video ep and the Chronicles release, both from the late ’80s.
Don’t suppose there’s any chance of a few UK dates is there?
Fabulous band, great players, great songs, criminally under rated -treat yourself, buy this or the CD: it will not disappoint. It was a great gig.
It’s is a fantastic live DVD from a legend band. They’ve been trying for ages, having only so far put out an American DVD of a bootlegged video of the early 90’s gig in London. This is a totally stunning band, with so many classic songs, and albums. They have an amazing original sound and style, with thier Beatles harmonies mixing Sabbath and Pantera kinda riffs and groove and good funky bass and Doug’s Hendrix kinda vocals. This is a really great live DVD of the full gig last year, uplifting, great fun rock music. Awesome.
I love King’s X too. I have all the studio albums on CD, plus “Live All Over The Place” on CD. I’ve seen them live 3 times. I also saw them on the USA part of this tour, and yes the crowd was extremely small, like 75 to 80 people in a small shitty club. Ol’ Dug also had a complete meltdown temper tantrum onstage when his onstage monitor sound wasn’t flawless, but the mix was fine out front. It was interesting to watch, and to watch the other bandmembers during his fit.
You fanbois can rave about this DVD all you want. I watched it too. The XV album was great, but the band on this tour, and this DVD, was not. The vibe and magic was not there.
