Jimmy Page Launches Website
Jimmy Page has just introduced his first official website.
This is curated and conceptualised by the great man himself – and one of the most interesting features is called On This Day.
This is a daily diary of events spanning his entire career. It will include footage, audio clips, unseen photos, plus previously unreleased tracks, demos and home recordings. There will also be personal anecdotes. But be warned: each entry will be up for just 24 hours and then will permanently removed. There’s to be no archiving.
Future plans also include an overview of Jimmy Page’s huge back catalogue, including personal critiques by the man himself, and an online shop retailing collectable and limited-edition items such as high-quality fine-art prints signed by both Page and the relevant photographer, plus exciting and exclusive musical releases.
Says Page: “I’ve had the domain name for a number of years. I’ve just been sitting on it and a number of people had made approaches about setting something up and it got to a point that it felt it was the right time to put the website together.”
