Jeff Beck Announces Harvey Goldsmith Management
Jeff Beck has announced that Harvey Goldsmith is to manage him for the foreseeable future after it was announced that the influential guitarist would be inducted into this year’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Jeff Beck has spoken out about the decision that Harvey Goldsmith will manage him and it turns out that Classic Rock had a hand to play in it all. Don’t worry guys, we’re not after 10%.
“I have known Harvey for a long time and we met again at the Classic Rock awards at the end of last year,” said Beck. “Soon after I decided I wanted a change in my career so I approached Harvey in December. It’s a great team and we have big plans, including new material and more performances.”
“I have always thought that Jeff is an incredible musician. I’ve worked with him many times over the years,” said Goldsmith. “Jeff asked me to dinner, where he told me he wanted a change in his working life. He said that he wanted to perform more and look for new opportunities. I thought about it overnight and felt that I could be of help. I’m very excited about working with Jeff, it will be a great partnership. He is raring to go and his band are incredible, just brilliant. There should be a new album by the end of the year and who knows where we can go with that.”
Beck also recently announced that he will play a series of shows in Japan with Eric Clapton. Does this increase our chances of a Beck/Clapton show? Time will tell.

Oh man, this is good news. When some guys are winding things up at this age, it sounds like Jeff is cranking it up another gear.
If he would just get back with Rod and Ronnie for a some shows and an album, life would be good. (Hey Jeff… talk to Tony Iommi and Ronnie Dio about how great and lucrative it can be to relive the past with old mates for a little bit.)
Jeff Beck is arguably the greatest living guitarist and he’s still in his prime at age 64, He masters metal, jazz fusion, psychedelic and blues fretboard genres, Jeff’s revered by Les Paul, Clapton, Page, Gilmour and Brian May. He’s also an animal loving vegetarian and an avid hot road fanatic.
