Jack White Refused To Sing For Slash

White Stripes man Jack White is the one person who turned down the chance to do vocals on the upcoming self-titled solo album from Slash.

The top-hatted guitar icon told musicradar.com:

“I wanted to get Jack White to sing on something, but he didn’t want to sing. He said I’ll play drums, I’ll play guitar, but I don’t wanna sing.

“He was one guy that I wanted to work with. Pretty much everyone else that I went after I managed to get.”

it’s that kind of attitude that gets you kicked out of Goober & The Peas.

I’ve never been much of a big fan of his voice anyway. He’s a brilliant muso thought!

philip k ridiculous

too much of an egotistical idiot who thinks he is too big to appaer on somebody more famous than he is solo record!

those all star records are always terrible. can you name one great song that ever came from a record like that? buy the latest raconteurs or appitie on vinyl and you will be much happier.

The Rowie

why would Slash want Jack White to play drums or play Guitar when there are so many more much much better Musos on the record anyway. Pull your head in Jack, you missed an opportunity to work with a legend, your loss.

he probably turned down the idea of rapping “welcome to the jungle”………….

Just heard The White Stripes new live album. All I got to say is Slash you lucked out!
