Jack Blades Wants Damn Yankees Reunion

Jack Blades has revealed to Classic Rock that he would love to do a new Damn Yankees album.
However, the Night Ranger bassist/vocalist says there are practical problems:
“You try to co-ordinate everyone’s schedules! I talk all the time to Ted [Nugent], and Night Ranger are about to tour in America with Styx, so Tommy [Shaw] and I will get the chance to write. But, at the moment another Damn Yankees album seems a long way off.”
Blades, though, is working on a new solo album, and also a second record with Tommy Shaw.
“We hope to have the have the Shaw Blades album [to be titled Influence 2] out soon. It’s got some cool stuff. We’ve done a version of Elton John’s Tiny Dancer, with Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick on drums. It’s come out so well.”
bad move dude. first of all, damn yankess was a suck band that only a 12 year old girl could like. Secondly, ted nugent is a pariah, and hitching your wagon to his bs will only get you to obscurity that much faster.
i’d move for a night ranger reunion first. still a little wimpy but at least you had brad gillis who could shred.
Hey M.E., not to knock on you but Night Ranger is still together and had a new CD out earlier this year!!! They also played Rocklahoma-look it up on Utube. I think the Damn Yankee thing could be cool right now, go 4 it Jack!!
I for one wouldn’t mind a bit of Damn Yank-age again. Ted’s music’s been sounding the same recently. The Damn Yankees add some variety to his guitar playing.
