Much of the assessment of Ray and people’s judgment of him is based on the Apu trilogy, or perhaps just Ã¢â‚¬Å“Pather PanchaliÃ¢â‚¬Â as for many that is possibly all the Ray they have seen. Isn’t the Apu trilogy about poverty you ask, maybe visually artistic but about poverty none the less? Seeing nothing but poverty in Ã¢â‚¬Å“Pather PanchaliÃ¢â‚¬Â is like seeing nothing but graffiti on the walls of the Sistine Chapel. Wow, fan boys of both bands are pathetic. Why the hell can’t you admit that both bands are good? In my opinion, Mustaine is obviously the better guitar player but as a vocalist, Hetfield is better. I lean more towards the Metallica side because they don’t just sit doing one style of music their whole life. They actually evolve and try new things which helps prolong their career. You stay in one style of music, you end up forgotten like Slayer and Megadeth producing the same sound over and over again. Just shows you which band is more creative with the different styles of music they can play.

He`s over his Metallica demons? Really? Well its about time. Better late than never I suppose!
I grew up listening to Metallica. Went through a brief Megadeth phase, that didnt last long. Metallica are a different band nowadays. Love their past music, but all these guys are assholes, and Mustaine cant talk, because he is at the top of the list. Just listen to how they speak about each other etc.

Hello? Alex Skolnick? Dimebag Darrell anyone? How about a guy named Yngwie Malmsteen? Jeff Loomis of Nevermore? Syu of Galneryus? Randy Rhoads?

Don’t tell me Dave is a better guitarist than any of the above mentioned.

I don’t think the book writer knows metal very well.

Although I have a high opinion of Metallica, but I have always believed that what has made Megadeth unique, is a unique talent holding the whole band together and it’s actually Mustaine! Paying a bit of careful attention to their lyrics, let us know the true intelligence hiding on the back. I have always believed that Megadeth-unlike most other grade 1 bands (Metallica in particular)- who lived a great but short music life of less than 10 years, is still roaring, maybe not as good as before, but still good.
