Iggy Pop is to receive the Living Legend Award at the Marshall Classic Rock Roll Of Honour in November.

The Stooges hero is the fifth recipient of this award, following Lemmy (2005), Alice Cooper (’06), Jimmy Page (’07) and Ozzy (’08).

Commenting on this honour, Iggy says: “All those years of banging away in the dives and palaces of the weird universe of rock are finally adding up to something. The other people who have received this award are absolutely awesome, and I feel lucky very lucky to be included.”

This year’s Marshall Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards happen at the Park Lane Hotel in London on November 2.  Don’t forget you can still vote for the winners in six categories. The nominees are:
