Hulk Hogan once wanted to join Metallica.
The wrestling legend secretly fancies himself as a bassist, and when Cliff Burton died he actually wanted to audition for the band.
Hogan told the Chicago Tribune: “I called and never heard a word back from them either. I would have quit wrestling in a heartbeat to be a bass player for Metallica.”
Shame really. It could have been fun watching Hogan getting Lars Ulrich in one of his famous holds – beats a bass solo any day!
