Hinder drop lead singer
Hinder have parted ways with lead singer Austin Winkler in what they say was a “difficult decision.”
He dropped off their summer US tour to go to rehab for the second time in his career, leaving them to continue on the road with stand-in Jared Weeks of Saving Abel.
Confirming that Winkler is no longer part of Hinder, drummer Cody Hanson says: “I’m really proud of what we accomplished over the years.
“We hold no animosity towards Austin and wish him the best. Although it was a difficult decision, it was the best thing for everyone involved and time for us to move on.”
Thanking fans for their support during a “tough” period he adds: “We’re very excited about the future of Hinder, and we can’t wait to share the next chapter.”
A full-time replacement for Winkler hasn’t yet been confirmed. The band, including Weeks, were involved in a bus crash in July while touring in support of 2012 album Welcome To The Freakshow.
