Brilliant festival - highlights for me were; Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, Steve Hackett (set too short though), Argent (sensational), the Wall of Death, Food (had roast hog then paella). ELP absolutely brilliant! See my photos on Flickr; http://www.flickr.com/photos/8834193@N07/sets/72157624465009779/

What happened to the photo you took of the prog crowd from the stage? I was on the barrier so I expect I'm in it! The best festival I've been to in years. I spent all Sunday at the front of the Prog stage before going to see ELP. What a line up! Uriah Heep and Argent were fantastic, well worth the 35 year wait since I last saw them.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Festival. One bone of contention, the Metal Hammer stage is too close and points directly at the Prog stage leading to "noisy neighbour syndrome". Even Steve Howe mentioned it!! You need to sort that for next year.

That's right!! The ZZ Top picture is definitively NOT from the High Voltage Festival!

So ... only 20 mins between the gates opening and the first band playing with hundreds of people waiting outside?!

The Metal stage was too close to the Prog stage, we could hear everything!

They should've at least alternate the set times between the Main and Prog stages, like they do at Sonisphere for the 2 main stages. Many bands we like had less audience because of this.

Also, it was really embarrassing how Gary Moore and Joe Elliot & Ian Hunter were kicked out of the stage!! Was it their fault not knowing what time they were supposed to finish ... or were they not informed at all?

Anyway, nice weekend though ...

Enjoyed the festival in the sunshine except for 2 things: the food poisoning I got, and £4 for a warm can of lager in the VIP. A proper liberty.

Great 2 days

the prog stage needed to be bigger and better lighting
any chance of a band schedule more widely available on site
