Guns N’ Roses To Tour With Van Halen?
Could this be the Guns N’ Roses stadium tour that was rumoured yesterday?
As if yesterday’s news that Guns N’ Roses could be embarking on a worldwide summer stadium hadn’t set tongues wagging enough, today GNR Daily are reporting that Van Halen could be joining them for this trek.
It’s the use of the word ‘worldwide’ that’s got our interest up. GNR and Van Halen in the UK? Yes, please!
Download festival promoter Andy Copping previously mentioned to us that a Van Halen show in the UK was unlikely to happen for years and the band had also previously mentioned that they were on hold until after Wolfgang Van Halen graduates but you never know, eh?
Maybe Eddie should talk with the boys from Metallica and see how that whole “touring with GNR” thing really works.
OH MY F****IN’ GOD, THAT COULD BE THE GREATEST GIG SINCE THE CLOPPA CASTLE REUNION.
If this does happen, I shall be at every sodding show.

Van Halen : 3/4 of the classic line up who incidently couldn’t be arsed to come to the UK on their ‘reunion’ tour (they have a history of that. 1984 tour…. one gig at Donington!)
Without another big name on the bill, I don’t see GnR selling out stadiums – at least not in the US. Axl needs to wake up and realize it’s 2009 not 1989.
This would be the only way Axl Rose will ever see the inside of a stadium again without buying a ticket.

I doubt it, whether you love him or hate him, he’s still a genious, and an amazing performer, you KNOW you’d be there, because there’s a shit load of people EVERYWHERE that would drop everything to see ‘Axl Rose & Friends’, they’re not the real GNR, I agree with that….
But I’d still go to hell and back to see them play a show.

Van Halen YES YES YES…but not with the Axel Rose cabaret act..NOOOOOO. Don’t get me wrong, loved Guns N Roses, saw them at Donnington and Wembley Stadium back in the day…what Axel is doing now should be the Axel Rose Band…..Van Halen gets my money any day..if they do it with Axel…well, I will get the beers in when they are on

So who’ll headline? In my heart I think VH deserves to, but then again, if they open the show, it means I can be home earlier.
Was lucky enough to see VH at Madison Square Garden last May, was a cracking show, GNR…meh, saw them at Donnington when they were second on the bill
they were hungry then, Axl should just release stuff as a solo artist.
If this tour happens, be sure to get tickets for the opening night because chances are slim they’ll make it through the whole tour. It would be a great show…I saw VH in the states on their last reunion tour (minus Michael Anthony). They were phenomenal and Eddie shredded like never before, probably b/c he is somewhat sober.
