Guns N' Roses To Play Three Arena Dates

Guns N’ Roses have lined up a trio of major shows in England this autumn.

The dates are the band’s first English arena gigs in four years and the first since the release of the Chinese Democracy album in 2008.

The shows have yet to officially confirmed by the band. However, Axl and co are on tour elsewhere in Europe in September and October.

Important note: the dates below do seem to clash with some previously announced shows. Check out the GN’R MySpace site here.

According to the Digital Spy website, the English dates are as follows:

October 13 – London, O2 Arena

October 17 – Birmingham, LG Arena

October 18 – Manchester, MEN Arena

Also according to Digital Spy, tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am.

What is for sure is that GN’R are playing the Reading and Leeds festivals at the end of August.

STOP PRESS: The shows do seem to be legitimate. They’ve now been announced on the band’s official myspace page.  Check out the Ticketmaster website here.

YES! Got my day ticket for Reading already, but MEN arena is a must for me too! And all the Axl-haters and “Datz not Guns n Roozez” whiners, no-one cares anymore. say something positive for once or keep your mouth shut. Your choice.

Wanker.Nuff said.

Scab GNR sucks.

honest joe

Got a ticket for Belfast but still, what about Scotland and Wales if its really a UK tour???

Hope theres more to follow, especially a Glasgow gig coz 2006 was exceptional.

Just glad i got to see the real Guns when they were together, now just a sad parody of what was the greatest group in the world.Enjoy paying top dollar for a tribute band cos thats all they are these days

Big deal, Axl’s voice is shot and there’s no other ‘Gunners’ in the band so who cares. Much rather go and see Slash who is producing good music and playing it everywhere.

Shufflemoomin

It’s not Guns N Roses, it’s Axl and nothing more. Who the hell do you think you are T.V to have the right tell people what they can and can’t say?

Jon Armour

Got my tickets for LG Arena! Standing as ever!

michael faccenda

please tell me there going to add a scottish date to this so called ‘british tour’

the cursed diamond

No one cares? say somthing positive? The album was extremely average with absolutely none of the spirit, saw tooth edge or balls of the original G’n'R. And as for the live shows – over blown keyboard breaks and a fat axl with a voice nowhere close to the classic howl! He’s living off the Guns name and doing a poor job of it.

Shuffle, I’m not saying you don’t have the right to an opinion, I’m just saying we don’t need to hear the same old complaints again and again. You do know you’re not the first person to make that point, right? I KNOW it’s not Guns N’ Roses. I’m one of the firm believers that he should have released the album as “W.A.R.” or simply “Axl”, but I refuse to bitch about the fact and let it get in the way of appreciating the album.

I have just checked and the tickets for the O2 go on sale this Friday morning, no mention of price.
I noticed in the Metro paper there is an American Express presale – rock ‘n’ roll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes they are a tribute act but with the greatest front man in the world; if you can see past the band name its good entertainment; and i saw the original line up in 1987 and 88 as well as the axl troop in 2002/2006;

Jon Armour, you sir are spot on. If he had released CD under a different name, more people would give the album and live band a chance, so why let a name get in the way of it all?

Pedantic S.O.B

Technically didn’t Guns N’ Roses stop being GNR when Tracii Guns left the band and took the other members with him to restart LA Guns. From then on its just really been a continuation of Hollywood Rose and damn Axl for continuing it despite being the original member of that group with Izzy. So technically Slash and Duff weren’t in the original line up of GNR.

I went to the Chinese Hypocrisy tour 3 years ago & wish i hadnt.

Pedantic so true

Technically the only person who has any anger at the Guns N roses continuing is Tracii Guns who formed it when he merged his LA Guns with Axls Hollywood Rose. When Tracii left and took the drummer and bassist to restart LA guns, the band shud have continued as Hollywood Rose. So that means Slash and Duff werent in the original GNR and so noone should be moaning because Axl as the only remaining member from the groups formation is continuing on.

Really looking forward to seeing Axl & band at Leeds & now in Manchester. New guitarist DJ Ashba will be an added bonus, he co-wrote alot of the songs on the last Crue album.

Yes, this is not Guns n Roses, it is the Axl Rose band, but tbh the Axl Rose band is pretty fucking awesome. Loved Democracy and Axl has a superb voice still. He’s also produced the best music of anyone since the demise of the original Guns n Roses.

I love Chinese Democracy, but I don’t really fancy getting stranded in North Greenwich at 1am in October.

I’ll stick to seeing Guns 2 Roses. They are a bit more reliable.

Scott Eaton

Im sorry but greatest frontman in the world? While he may have a powerful voice it is by no means a good voice. Also he doesnt give a damn about audience interaction, focusing on just whatever he wants to do at any given time. The last album was a half arsed hotch potch of overblown, grandiose ideas, the sort of crap the Illusion albums would have been full of if the other band members hadnt reined him in.I would actually rather watch a tribute act, having seen 2 of them i can safely say theyre better than Axls current session band

seen the real gun @roses not bother with this lot as dont no if they going turn up

Simon Outten

Guns N’ Roses died years ago.

Planet rock has a presale and tickets are £45 each steep but worth it for GNR (or axl whatever…) I also lol at all the “Ahhh its not guns n rosseesss” people NO SHIT SHERLOCK! they are still really amazing!

Steve Emmerson

GNR were awesome when I saw them in 91 & 92 (91 was better) at Wembley.
They/he will never reach those standards again when live so for that reason as much as I like the new album I wont be going. I dont want my memories tarnished!

Guns n roses or not, i still want to see axl.

and by the way to the people who stupidly slag axl of!

get a life, stop your moaning and listen pay your attentions somewhere else

Jon Armour

Axl is still the greatest front man of MY generation

Jon Armour

Sadly slash didnt play his music everywhere – there was no brum date meaning i missed the shows as i couldnt justify the expense; VR are a great band, Slash and Friends a shit hot CD, AXL and co worth it to hear the man scream!!

It’s not the line-up that I have an issue with (although it would be nice to at least see a real band up there) but it is the utter contempt that Axl shows for his audience. Aside from being out of shape and not looking after his voice, showing up 3 hours late as a matter of course is just rude. It is not cool and does not give him some sort of air of mystery, it just makes him a self-serving prick. And talking of self-serving pricks, Axl should heed the words of Gene Simmons when he said last year “if you’re due on stage at 9 and you are not on stage at 9, then your a bitch”

manwithaplan

Please play Glasgow again!!!

Yip, need a Glasgow date Axl!
