Grohl And Hawkins: Foo Fighters’ Future

Taylor Hawkins has been talking exclusively to Classic Rock about his plans for 2010.

Lots to come on The Foo Fighters’ drummer and his own project, Taylor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders, but for now this is what he has to say about the future of the Foos:

“It’s gonna be a very busy year for both myself and Dave [Grohl]. I have my band – and he’s busy with Them Crooked Vultures. But we will find time to sit down and start planning the next album from The Foo Fighters. The aim is to get a really solid basis for it.”

Hawkins is ready to fully commit to the Coattail Riders once new album Red Light Fever is released (on April 20) and he is determined to do a major tour, which will include UK shows. More – much more – soon on Hawkins.

In the meantime, check out the latest edition of Rhythm magazine (issue 174, pictured below) for a major interview with Grohl.

He talks in-depth about the recording process for the debut album from Them Crooked Vultures, working with Josh Homme, playing live, plus he also discusses the future of The Foo Fighters.
