GN'R Play South America; London Show In January

Guns N’ Roses’ touring plans continue to take shape for next year.

Having previously announced 13 shows in Canada between January 13 and February 4, the band have confirmed they’ll be doing a month-long tour of South America from March 10. Exact dates will be announced shortly.

So far, there’s no sign of anything happening in the UK. But that could all change very fast.

In fact, GN’R have already announced a date for London – this being on January 25 at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario, Canada, however!

Additionally, GN’R are scheduled to perform in Taiwan, South Korea and Japan in December.

The website Backstageaxxess.com recently asked lead guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal what fans could expect when the band finally hit the road.

Thal replied: “I can’t give anything away as we are trying to keep it a surprise until we do it. We will be playing a lot of old stuff, newer stuff, a lot of bombs and pyro [laughs]. I’m dodging the question – you know, the stuff you see at a big rock show.”

That’s cleared that one up, then.

I hope they play all the new album, its supposed to be a new era and I’d be disapointed if they just churn out Appetite with only a sprinkling of new songs. Some of those new songs have some really great drumming, they must sound awesome in a live setting.

I hope Axls been keeping fit and is fired up for this, its hard to believe he hasnt been seen in public since the last gig he played in early 2007. He never even stuck his head out the window when he released an album lol, strange guy…

@The Realist – Yeah, it’s a good point, but as a younger fan who’s never seen the band live, I’d prefer something that included an equal share of all eras. Maybe a chronological setlist, coming onstage to ‘Welcome..’, ‘Move to the City’ a couple of songs later, some material from UYI 1&2, maybe the ‘Raw Power’ cover, then about half the material from Chinese Democracy. ‘Paradise City’ would have to remain the closer, but maybe as a ‘Paradise/Get in the Ring/Shackler’s Revenge’ medley. I know that’ll never happen, but it’s what I’d love to see.

Hope they go to scotland..

i hope that AXL show up for these dates
