Wildhearts mainman to write exclusive blog – starting tomorrow!

Wildhearts mainman Ginger begins an exclusive online column for Classic Rock tomorrow with Ginger’s Secret History Of Rock’n’Roll, a weekly look at overlooked albums from the annals of rock.

“Every week I’ll write about a classic album that no-one has heard of. It’ll be informative but funny, and hopefully educational, the message being that great music will still be here in 200 or 2000 years time, and not be judged by how popular it was at the time. The only thing that will ultimately matter is the quality of the songs and the performance. Something I’m sure 99% of Classic Rock readers will agree with.”

The blog will be interactive, with links to videos of band performances, interviews, and useful sites giving additional information: the perfect beginners’ guide in other words.

So come back tomorrow for the first installment!

Great. I expect everything from Dolly Parton to the …Trail of Dead .

This column will be tremendously fun! Better than corporate FM telling us what to like. Some of the best music ever is the stuff you don’t get on FM anymore.

Couldn’t agree more Doddy – the Mick Wall anecdotes at the end of every issue are brilliant the ones with Ozzy and Dave Lee Roth were classic

Enjoy mate

Ginger should be on the cover of every Classic Rock Magazine issue until the end of time.
