This is a true metal event. In fact, the biggest of its type in the UK, featuring not only established names, but also unsigned acts looking to make their mark.

First held in 2005, BOA has got steadily bigger over the years, with four stages this time around. Here are some of the highlights:

Having attended the last two I decided to give it a rest this year (I’m getting too old for camping). Of course then they announce Opeth and Devin Townsend are playing! Aggghhh! Still great festival.
