Gene Simmons Confirms News Of A New Kiss Album
Gene Simmons appears to have confirmed the news that Paul Stanley broke exclusively to us on the Clog – there is going to be a new Kiss record in 2009.
In a chat with Jane Stevenson of Canada’s Sun Media, Gene suggests that the band will record the album and release it next summer with Paul Stanley producing. There will also be a handful of show to go with this release.
“We’ll do a handful of shows just to keep in the game (next) summer, maybe 10 (dates), some Canadian shows. I know Halifax is one, but before you get out there and start the baseball season, they hold exhibition games, that’s what we’re doing. ‘Cause once we go out, it’s going to be for a year and a half.”
Rumours persist that once the record is finished, the band will head out on a Stateside tour with Queen.

If the band are still playing well, enjoying being on the road, the fans are still enjoying the shows and the band are about to commit to tape (or whatever they record on now)the first new tracks in 10years why should they retire?
Should AC/DC,Quo, The Stones etc retire?

come on, KISS is KISS, i always liked the originals but Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer are good too, and HELL, when was the last time they came to Canada, and the new album, well im pretty sure it will be good cuss the elbums that were “bad” eventually became classics \,,/
I think Paul should get Bob Ezrin in as ‘executive producer’ at the very least. I’m a bit disappointed Ezrin’s not producing.
OMG! A new KISS album, and I thought Xmas was over! I Hope it sounds closer to “Carnival of Souls” than “Psycho Circus” but Stanley and Simmons work so better together than solo, it’s gotta be great. Fingers crossed they tour the U.K not just a festival
I’m one of the few who actually like Psycho Circus (so what if not all the original members play on it – there are so many great songs there!) and I’m looking forward to a new album. If it’s only half as great as Stanleys latest solo offering, I’ll be a happy camper.
I don’t give a da** what anyone says about the greatest group that ever lived. Thank you Gene and Paul for keeping me entertained for 35 plus years! No one has given so much back to their fans than KISS has and is doing. Guess there is a lot of fans dissappointed in their lack of entertainment. I am proud and more than content to call myself a lifelong fan of KISS. Live long and prosper KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a new album is great to hell with ace and peter all they do is bitch in the old days they were great but those days are gone kiss is and will always be paul and gene im sure it will be a great cd.
