Freddie Honoured
Freddie Mercury is to receive a hometown honour next month.
The late Queen singer is to have a Hollywood-style star laid outside the library in Feltham in Middlesex, west of London, the town to which he moved at the age of 12. There will be a special ceremony on November 24
Mercury, who died in 1991, came to Feltham from Zanzibar with his family in 1964, when he was 17. He lived in Gladstone Avenue and studied at Isleworth Polytechnic, which is now West Thames College.
The local council are spending £2,000 on this project.
