Flea & Rod Stewart Deny Faces Reunion

Ronnie Wood says there will be a Faces album and tour next year but other sources are now saying that it’s all balony. What do you think?

Flea and Rod Stewart have both stepped out to deny that there will be a Faces reunion in the near future.

Flea has today said “I don’t know anything about a Faces tour or album,” and Gayle Fine of Q Prime Management (who manage the Chili Peppers) told Music Radar that “Flea doesn’t know where these stories are coming from. That was taken from a story from Rolling Stone, and frankly, I don’t know how that got up there. When you have a band this big, people get very enthusiastic. I’m going to have that taken down, of course.” Flea had been rumoured to be part of the new Faces line-up at the tail-end of last year.

Meanwhile, Rod Stewart’s spokesman has also told Billboard that “there are no plans for a Faces reunion tour this year.”

It’s all very confusing after Ronnie Wood confirmed that he and Stewart had just finished writing songs for the new Faces album. Who do we believe?

Well, both I guess. What I reckon is that a reunion has been planned but not confirmed. Ronnie probably spilled the beans by mistake, when he should have waited with the announcement. Anwyay, I hope that’s it. :-)
