Ozzy is to release 30th anniversary editions of his first two solo albums, 1980’s Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman (1981).These are both expected to be out later this year. And, unlike the 2002 versions, they will feature the original contributions from bassist Bob Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake. The pair had their performances removed eight years ago, and replaced by Robert Trujillo and Mike Bordin, respectively. This followed a law suit issued against Ozzy by Daisley and Kerslake, claiming they were owed considerable sums of money.

Well this has cheered me up a wee bit, after RJD’s sad passing. What we fans want is a decent attempt at giving us some decent footage of the late great Randy, plus any previously unheard stuff. You Looking At Me would be a good place to start for the bonus tracks.
Having the original members’ performances on the reissues is the right thing to do.
Thank god the proper versions are being re-released. Those 2002 reissues were shite! And hopefully they’ll sort Bark At The Moon out as well, after all they have 3 years to do it!
Ozzy’s ‘Blizzard Of Ozz’ & additional artists assisted me reaching my goal during my senior year of high school. I ran indoor track & field 600 meters of upstate NY & CRAZY TRAIN liked by many was also a favorite of mine. I progressed from unranked -to- nationally ranked, more details of me should you inquire. Norwich, NY class of 1982.
Good news. I just hope and pray that Lee Kerslake and Bob Daisley finally get what they deserve for their contribution on these great albums.
At last Ozzy sees sense!!
I couldn’t believe it when Sharon and co tampered with the old original versions!!
Daisley’s bass is cruciall to the sound!
ozzy sucks
this is clearly a steal
Agree with that comment about Bark At The Moon – it’s a cool, pretty chilled album but it’s too low in the mix – I think that’s music producer slang for “too soft”…
