Fancy Going To Download – But Not For The Entire Weekend?
Single-day tickets WILL be available to purchase for this summer’s Download Festival – but not just yet.
Download is set to take place June 12 to 14 at Donington Park.
Several readers have contacted us to say they would like to attend Download on its so-called ‘Classic Rock Sunday’ – June 14 – when Def Leppard and Whitesnake will be appearing.
So far, however, only full weekend tickets have been made available for purchase.
In a message on the Classic Rock Magazine Readers’ Google Group, Jacqui asked:
‘Is it usually the case that tickets can only be bought for the three days?
‘I would only want to go for the Classic Rock Sunday, but it appears I’d have to buy a weekend ticket.’
A spokeswoman for Download promoters Live Nation confirmed: ‘The only tickets currently on sale for Download are weekend tickets, although day tickets will be available to purchase nearer the time.
‘However, we would recommend your readers go out and buy weekend tickets so they don’t miss any of the action!’
Other acts confirmed to play over the full Download weekend are Slipknot, The Prodigy, Mötley Crüe, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Pendulum, Dragonforce and Devildriver.
Weekend tickets cost £135 and are available from www.downloadfestival.co.uk
Close to 100 bands are set to appear on this year’s full Download bill.
