Evile have thanked everyone who’s donated prizes for the raffle to be held on December 7 at Leeds Rio’s and December 8 at The Underworld in London. This is to raise money for the family of the band’s bass player Mike Alexander, who died suddenly last month.

Currently on the list are rare and signed items from Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Exodus and Amon Amarth.

Says Evile guitarist/vocalist Ol Drake:

“We’re absolutely blown away by the amount of support we and Mike’s family have received direct from all these amazing people and artists.  We hope we can raise as much as possible to help Mike’s family to cover many things needed and to help his kids and girlfriend make up for the huge loss they all have to deal with now.

“Please show your support by grabbing a raffle ticket, or coming down to the memorial shows in December.  We’ll be playing a surprise (whoops) cover set for Mike.

“Thank you all so much for the continuing support.”

The shows will be headlined by Gama Bomb, with Seragon and Mutant also on the bill. As Drake says, Evile are to play a covers set, with various guests. The songs chosen will be particular favourites of the late bassist.
