Duff McKagan In Autobiography Bidding War

Duff McKagan’s aubiography is currently up for auction – and the bidding is said to have topped $250,000 already.

The bids for the Velvet Revolver – and one time Guns N’ Roses – bassist’s book are being made by publishing houses on the basis of a 40-page proposal, which starts on the day in 1994 when his pancreas burst.

In the meantime, former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler is to have his autobiography published by HarperCollns on June 22. It’s titled My Appetite For Destruction: Sex, And Drugs And Guns N’ Roses.

McKagan has a fascinating history going back to the early 80s Seattle punk rock scene, and he wants to start his autobio in 1994, after G’n R’s peak? What’s the point?

Rocknroll

I think its the proposal that starts in 1984 in order to wet the whistle of prospective publishers. I would imagine the book would cover his whole career.
