Dublin To Celebrate Phil Lynott On The Street
Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy are to be celebrated with a special street pageant in Dublin.
Called The Boys Are Back In Town, this will mark the life and work of the legendary Lizzy leader. It happens on Saturday, August 20, which is Lynott’s birthday, and is being organised by Diblin City Council with street arts group MaSamba. They’ve selected some of the better known Lizzy songs, with costumes and choreography representing these.
Says Gerry Breen, the Lord Mayor of Dublin: “I am very happy to be supporting this
gig which will commemorate one of Dublin’s favourite musicians. I encourage
the people of Dublin to come to Grafton Street to support MaSamba and remember Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy”.
