Download's Classic Rock Sunday?

According to current rumours, the final day of this year’s Download festival could be a very Classic Rock-friendly affair.

Metal Hammer had originally rumoured that both ZZ Top and Def Leppard would be part of this year’s Download festival and a current posting on their site suggests that both bands are heavily in contention for the Sunday at this year’s Download festival.

A full announcement is set for this coming Monday. Come back to Classic Rock to check out the full Download line-up.

Classic Rock brought you first news that despite flying rumours, Van Halen would not be headlining this year’s festival.

“Add to this another name SLITHERING into contention and we wouldn’t be surprised if Download’s Sunday turns into a more classic rock affair.”

Fits in what I heard last week…could this year see Whitesnake’s fourth appearance at Donington?

.CLASSIC ROCK………is my life

Def Leppard? I thought you said ‘Rock’? Def Leppard have been an extremely dull balladeering pop band since 1984!!

it’s not CLASSIC it’s REAL ROCK!!!!!!!!
stop with fake prefabricate “rock” such as numetal-grunge-punk-emo-crossover and shit like that!
REAL ROCK means AOR-PROG-POP-HARD-HEAVY…it means also melody and skillful musicians!
It’s time for the REAL thing to come back and stay!

its good news that Van Halen are not bringing their circus act to town, after seeing them playing in America… it was like watching a drunken uncle at a wedding reception abusing the karaoke machine…. bad bad bad
