Doro’s Dio Tribute At Bloodstock
Doro is planning to do her own tribute to Ronnie James Dio at the Bloodstock Open Air Festival.
Talking exclusively to Classic Rock, the German singer said: “I will do one Dio song, although right now I’m not sure which one it’ll be. I have done Egypt (The Chains Are On) in the past, and that might be the one I go for again – as long as nobody else does it.”
Doro on the main stage (renamed the Ronnie James Dio stage) at Bloodstock on August 15. Following this, she heads to Japan in October.
“I have never been there before, so for me it’s quite an adventure.”
Doro will be releasing a DVD/CD set titled 25 Years In Rock in November on Nuclear Blast. This was filmed and recorded during a special anniversary show in Dusseldorf in December 2008, when Doro was joined by a lot of guests.
“It was an amazing night for me. To have so many friends there made it very special.”
