Don’t Be Fooled – Tangerine Dream In London
Tangerine Dream are to play the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 1.
The iconic German band first played at the venue in 1975, and will celebrate both this and also the 40th anniversary of their debut album, Electronic Meditation, with what they say will be:
“One of the most outstanding live concerts TD has ever given!? This event will be for you loyal, smart, intelligent folks from all over the world.”
Classic Rock happened to be at the aforementioned 1975 show, where the Tangs elected to play in complete darkness. All we could discern were a bunch of shadowy figures shuffling about in the distance, amid a cascade of electronic bleeps.
Let’s hope the 2010 show is an improvement, although the fact that it takes place on April 1 is cause for concern.
Tickets go on sale shortly. Check out details at www.tangerinedream-music.com.
