Def Leppard Confirmed For Download Too!
Sheffield’s finest will be grabbing a piece of the Donington action!
Whitesnake, who self-confirmed their appearance at this year’s Download festival, have released the following statement about Def Leppard’s appearance at the event:
“WHITESNAKE are very happy to announce they have committed to playing a one-off UK gig in 2009 at the DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL on JUNE 14th with DEF LEPPARD…The show will coincide with action-packed Anniversary releases of the multi-platinum albums, SLIP OF THE TONGUE, marking its 20th Anniversary, & the SLIDE IT IN album, which celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year.”
Classic Rock brought you the news of a classic rock themed Sunday at Download featuring Whitesnake, Def Leppard and ZZ Top last week.

Let’s hope that they sell day tickets.
Good news about the Whitesnake anniversary releases of Slide It In & Slip Of The Tongue albums. Hopefully the Slide It In release will come with both the UK & US editions of the album.
The “Slide It In” reissue CHEAT!
Unfortunately and shamefully DC did not include entire original UK release of Slide It It on the remastered edition of the album. It was caused by time constraints BUT he did manage to include entire US remix of the album which is a secondary release to the original version. So we only get 8 out of 10 songs off the original album with Jon Lord and Mel Galley, and only as bonus tracks!!!
It’s a total disgrace and it’s sad that DC wants to ‘feed’ especially the American market although his latest releases don’t sell that well in here. What’s the point releasing incomplete version of the album?!
