Contrary to reports in today’s tabloids, David Bowie will not be relaunching Ziggy Stardust at this year’s Coachella festival.
First came reports that Bowie was recording in Berlin again and today, tabloid newspaper reports were suggesting that Bowie would resurrect Ziggy Stardust for the first time since the character’s abrupt retirement at the Hammersmith Odeon on 3rd July, 1973.
NME.COM are quick to shoot down this rumour, claiming to have spoken to a Bowie spokesperson who has announced that Bowie isn’t even scheduled to play this year’s event.

Well duh…
come on like that could happen, anyways it wouldnt be the same without Ronno
It doesn’t need NME or any other magazine to jump on the ‘we shoot down the rumour’, ‘are’t we great?’ bandwagon. It was a dumb-ass claim in the first place. Slow new day, bit of publicity for the festival, etc etc.
Hey, heard the absolute true story, not a rumour, it’s definite story that the original Guns N’ Roses are headlining Reading this year? Zzzzzzzzz…
