Mustaine in ‘Nazi America’ rant

Accusation: Dave Mustaine

Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine has accused US president Barack Obama of arranging recent mass shootings for political reasons.

His outburst came during a concert in Singapore, where he stopped the show after a fan threw a shoe onstage. See the video below.

Mustaine picked up the missile and said: “Somebody’s going to feel pretty fucking stupid going home with only one shoe tonight. See, that’s what happens when cousins fuck.” He then spat on the shoe and threw it away.

The thrash icon continued: “Back in my country, my president is trying to pass a gun ban. So he’s staging all of these murders, like the Fast and Furious thing down at the border and Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there. And now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple.

“I was talking to our promoter here tonight and I was saying, I don’t know where I’m going to live if America keeps going the way it’s going – because it looks like it’s turning into Nazi America. He said, ‘Move down here to Singapore.’”

Mustaine then returned to berating a member of the audience he’d been talking to previously, telling him to “be quiet” and asking the crowd: “Did you come here to listen to him or me?” before launching into Megadeth track Holy Wars: The Punishment Due.

During the production of 2009 album Endgame, Mustaine talked about moving to Canada in order to escape an approaching apocalypse which was to consume the United States.
