Computer Games Saved Rock, Say White Wizzard
White Wizzard believe that Guitar Hero and Rock Band have saved traditional rock.
“How many kids have gotten into this sort of music because of these games?” asks guitarist Erik Kluiber. “These really have been so important in giving the music a shot in the arm.
Talking to Classic Rock, the fast-rising LA band also revealed what they feel about the New Wave Of Traditional Metal movement.
“We kinda feel part of it, and we kinda don’t,” says vocalist Wyatt Anderson. “It’s not like we’re friends with all these guys, or even know them. But I can see why there is this thing going on, and it’s good to see all these young bands coming along who are playing a similar type of rock. We are taking over the world again!”
The full interview with White Wizzard will appear in the next issue of Classic Rock. The band’s first full album, Over The Top, is released early next year by Earache.
