The Orange Amplification Classic Rock Roll Of Honour was launched in 2005 and has become one of the most highly respected ceremonies of the music year and always attracts the biggest names in the world of rock.

It will be hosted by Duff McKagan of Guns n’Roses, Velvet Revolver and Loaded fame – who admits he’s challenged to be working without a script, saying: “I hope I don’t fuck it up!”

Lynyrd Skynyrd will make a special guest appearance, and the red carpet will be trod by the usual galaxy of big-name rock stars.

ZZ Top will receive the Living Legend Award, while other iconic acts are lined up for the following honours: Breakthrough, Spirit of Prog, Comeback, Classic Album, Tommy Vance Inspiration, Classic Songwriter, Showman, Musicians’ Union Maestro, Outstanding Contribution, Metal Guru and VIP.

Six categories were voted for by you, the Classic Rock readers: Best New Band, Album of the Year, Reissue of the Year, Film/DVD of the Year, Band of the Year and Event of the Year.
