Classic Rock Joins ChildLine Rocks Cause
Classic Rock publisher Chris Ingham is to join the committee of ChildLine Rocks to help raise money, awareness and the profile of this fantastic cause.
Classic Rock has been a long-term supporter of ChildLine Rocks, helping to promote their fantastic annual concerts which have raised a huge sum of money for the ChildLine charity.
Chris commented: “I’m please to get involved with ChildLine in an official capacity and look forward to raising more money through exciting rock events in 2010 and onwards.”
ChildLine Rocks is an annual charity rock concert organised under the auspices of ChildLine 20, an independent committee set up to raise £2,000,000 for ChildLine to celebrate 20 years of ChildLine’s existence.
The first ChildLine Rocks event was held on 13 March 2008 at the Indigo2 in London and saw performances from Marillion, Fish, The Zombies, Glenn Hughes and Roger Daltrey.
The event was hosted by ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris and with the combined ticket sales, donations and funds raised by a charity auction it was able to raise in excess of £100,000.
Last year’s concert featured performances from Hot Leg, Uriah Heep, Glenn Hughes, The Pretty Things and Thunder, amongst others.
