Classic Rock Presents Pink Floyd In Eye-Boggling 3D!

Pink Floyd in 3D on the cover of December's Classic Rock!
The amazing new issue of Classic Rock is on sale right now. And the cover features Pink Floyd in mind-warping 3D!
Our December edition includes an exclusively created Floyd montage in dazzling 3D – featuring much of the band’s iconic imagery, including the hammers, pyramid and flying pig.
Continuing the Pink Floyd celebration inside, Classic Rock documents the making of The Wall – the album that destroyed Floyd. The eight-page feature also includes previously unseen behind-the-scenes photos from production of The Wall movie. Plus: big-name musicians talk exclusively about their favourite Floyd songs.
Elsewhere in the issue, Classic Rock also recalls the early years of Santana and catches up with Bon Jovi, Kiss, King Crimson, Todd Rundgren, Aerosmith.
But that’s not all. Oh, lord, no. There’s a special space rock CD, featuring 15 interstellar tracks. There’s a tribute to late Blue Cheer mastermind Dickie Peterson, a celebration of King Crimson’s iconic debut album In The Court Of The Crimson King and a look back at Manowar’s catalogue.
The December Classic Rock is on sale right now. Be there or be square-eyed!

Yeah, it looks brill but then in order to read the mag properly you have to peel it off, ripping the whole front cover ! Why not have it as a loose insert ?
Um, no you don’t, Paul. The issue is perfectly readable with the 3D cover intact.
just got my copy through the post today, and it is superb, the cover is amazing (though i did carefully peel it off, but only to preserve it as the art work it clearly is!) great Crimson feature and i like the subscribers only content, more of that please!… oh, the cd is rather special too, my christmass list is getting longer!!!
Landed on my floor this morning. I just thought ‘Wow’ that looks fantastic, you must be making far too much money from us. Now if we could have some classic album inserts like that, it would be great.
Huge! This looks amazing! buy or die? 4 sure!
btw/ hey Skynhead, can you tell who’s on the cd??
@gbarton – Sat on the throne, the ’stiff cover’ is a pain in the, erm, wrist.
I managed to peel it off. The cover, that is, with minor ripping to the ‘undercover’ (if you will).
However, the tape on the back of the lenticular sticks like sh1t to a blanket, so I had to put some sello over it to stop it sticking to everything else.
Oh, try putting the picture in front of a light source (I found the a window works well).
Awesome. But sticky and an ickle bit rippy.

Got my copy this morning, beautiful, beautiful cover. But, can we please not stick the CD inside the mag any more. Almost ripped it getting it off
Why oh why is the magazine always released almost two months before the month it represents? I know this is the way the magazine world works but surely something can be done. I presume I’m not the only one who doesn’t read the whole mag in one sitting. I read at a rather leisurely pace but I do read often, and I still can barely keep up, especially with the prog mags too. What we are effectively getting is more than 13 mags a year and with the next prog mag aimed for sometime in November more than 4 mags of those in a year. The material is always great but sometimes I feel like I’m rushing through the mag just to make it to the next one. Please slow down!
On another note that cover looks amazing. I hope it can be kept intact and not peeled off as some other readers have mentioned. The 150 albums mag also had an amazing cover. Keep up the great work. Best music mag ever.
will oversee readers get the cover too? in the past, there are some differences between covers and such stuff from the uk to oversee issues.
The cover is fantastic. I’m goin2 have it framed&hang it wiv all my Floyd posters I’ve collected over the years. More Floyd stuff, please?
[...] other related 3d news, I noticed that Classic Rock magazine have gone with a 3d lenticular cover for the December issue. This is a great way of viewing 3d images without glasses, as the ridged [...]
Great issue, but the only problem i had was to get the CD from the back page. I ripped Mick Wall’s war story. Well, I didn’t rip it off entirely, but still. For next issue please put the CD on the front cover with that cool gooey stuff.
if you want to preserve it you should never take the cover off the magazine that would ruin it’s value. You should frame it all together.
They got several of the bands song titles wrong on the CD. I know for a fact that Guild Navigators song is not “Amanda of the Golden Dawn” but rather Armada of the Golden Horde. Checked out their myspace site and discovered this. Too bad they would do such a neglectful thing for the bands they feature.
hey. Why did you bungle the name of my band’s song on the free CD? Who the hell is Amanda and why is she in the Golden Dawn? Nice girls like Amanda dont join secret orders of magic loving pervo’s. Please recall the entire magazine and reprint it please with the correct title for the Guild Navigators song. Or may Gengis Khans ghost bring fire and damnation to all of the UK!
