GN’R Will Reunite At Hall Of Fame, Organisers Claim
The ‘classic’ Guns N’ Roses line-up will get back together at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame next year.
At least, that’s what the organisers are hoping…
Speaking on Eddie Trunk Live, Hall Of Fame CEO Joel Peresman said:
“Who will be invited, obviously, is the original five [who recorded the Appetite For Destruction album] and [keyboardist] Dizzy [Reed] and [drummer] Matt [Sorum].”
Peresman went on to say: “All [members of Guns N’ Roses] have RSVP’d that they will show.”
So that means Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, Steven Adler, plus Reed and Sorum (who joined GN’R in 1990) will be inducted into the Hall Of Fame during the April 14 fandango in Cleveland, Ohio.
But that doesn’t necessarily mean that any or all the above will actually be attending the ceremony…
Slash recently Tweeted: “For the record, I didn’t RSVP, or in any way commit to attending the RRHF.”
And in an interview with the LA Times, Axl commented:
“There is no plan yet. There really is no plan. We’re still busy with this line-up. We’re gonna be busy – we’re gonna be busy all next year. We’ll be putting out new stuff as soon as we can figure out what our deal is with labels, blah-blah-blah.”
Regardless, Peresman insisted on Trunk’s show: “Everyone’s said they’re coming.”
In other news, Guns N’ Roses are to broadcast their show at The Joint in Las Vegas on Friday, December 30 live online – and it’ll be a pay-per-view event.
