Cherie Currie: A Queen Of Noise Again
Former Runaways vocalist Cherie Currie is planning a return to music, thanks to the upcoming Runaways biopic.
Working with Joan Jett again, and coaching Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart (the actresses who play the Currie and Jett roles in the film) has rekindled the spark for more rock ‘n’ roll action.
Currie told Billboard.com: “I know I’m going to be doing shows over the summer. I’ve written a few songs. We’ll see what happens. Am I banking on it? No. I’ve got my chainsaw and my wood and I’m very happy (believe it or not, Currie has been a chainsaw sculptor in recent years). But I know I’m going to be doing some (musical) things here and there, and we’ll see what comes of it.”
There’s also the chance that Currie and Jett will record together in the future.

Band, wagon, jump, the, on. Word play is wonderful!
I want Cherie, Joan….AND Lita, Jackie (and maybe Samantha Moloney on drums to replace the late Sandy West) to play together again!!
C’mon girls, this is the PERFECT opportunity for the Runaways to reunite and tour!
