If you saw Delain at last year’s Hard Rock Hell, you’ll know they were one of the highlights of the festival.
As we wrote in our review:
Delain might have connections with Within Temptation (they were founded by Martijn Westerholt, brother of WT’s Robert Westerholt) but they’re nowhere near as overblown or pompous. Charlotte Wessels proved to be an engaging frontwoman and their take on symphonic metal had an agreeable cutting edge. Recommended.
